After you have enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B, it is time to enroll in a Medicare Supplement Plan or a Medicare Advantage Plan and a Prescription Drug Plan. Medicare enrollment begins 3 months prior to your 65th birthday and continues through to 3 months after your birthday. If you are enrolled automatically, you will receive your Medicare card (the red, white and blue card) in the mail 3 months prior to your birthday or your 25th month of disability. If you don't get Medicare automatically, you will need to apply for Medicare online... www.ssa.gov/benefits/medicare
