Life Insurance may be one of the most important purchases you will ever make. Life Insurance works to provide financial security to your loved ones after you are gone. You can have peace of mind knowing they will be taken care of, especially if they rely on your income to pay for monthly expenses. There is also the funeral expenses they will need to pay for, which can be several thousand dollars. Maybe you already have a life insurance policy, but it is not enough to cover all of these expenses, you might want to purchase another one to make sure they are not left financially burdened.

*Term life insurance is a cost-effective way of meeting a temporary insurance need
*Purchased for a specific time period, such as 5,10,15 or 30 years, known as a "term"
*Becomes more expensive as you age, especially after age 50
*The term must be renewed if you want coverage to be extended beyond the term length

TERM LIFE OR WHOLE LIFE INSURANCE?
Deciding whether to purchase a whole life or a term life policy is a personal decision that should be based on the financial needs of your beneficiaries as well as your financial goals.

*Whole life insurance covers you for life
*Provides death benefits as well as cash value accumulation that builds during the life of the policy
*You typically must qualify with a health examination, can be purchased without one, but at a higher cost
*Takes 12 to 15 years to build up a decent cash value
*Cash value is based on how much the return or investment is worth
*A portion of the cash value can be withdrawn or borrowed during the life of the policy
